Combining Ankara with Lace for Stunning Outfits

Combination of different fabrics to make beautiful outfits has been in existence for years.
And these days, people have become more creative and started combining the Ankara fabric as well.
These days people combine Ankara with different materials, such as tulle, satin, lace and more, giving it a more chic, elegant and stylish vibe.
I mean, what is fashion if you can't combine different materials to make something unique?
I am a big fan and lover of Ankara, i just love how the Ankara fabric pairs so well when combined with other fabrics. It's so unique and beautiful.
In today's blog post, my focus is on the Ankara and Lace combination.
It's one of the modern combinations that really stands out.
I'm going to be sharing some tips and inspiration on how to combine the Ankara and Lace fabric.

Pairing Colours

When combining the Ankara fabric and lace, it's important to pick beautiful colours, and a lace that complements Ankara fabric that you have chosen.
If you choose an ankara fabric with a mix of three colours, say green, blue and yellow, you have to look at the more dominant colour in the Ankara fabric, if it is yellow, then go with a yellow lace, if it is blue then go with a blue lace, if it is green then go with a green lace. This way, you get a more cohesive look, while being stylish and elegant. This is where so many people make mistakes, because their pairing is just off.

On the other hand, if your Ankara fabric is very vibrant, it's usually not advisable to pair it with a vibrant lace fabric. It's advisable to pick a neutral colour of lace fabric. If you have three very vibrant colours in your Ankara fabric, then go with the less dominant colour, this gives your outfit a beautifully balanced and stylish look, it makes your appearance look well put together.

If you prefer vibrant lace, then you should pair the lace with a less vibrant Ankara fabric. You are just going to love this combination. I think this is one of my favourites. I personally love vibrant laces. :-)

All what I said above are not strict rules set by anyone, but they're what works for me as a fashion designer.

Accessories 

Not to forget your accessories, shoes, bags, hairstyle. All these things contributes to your overall look.
Your look is incomplete without your accessories, be it minor or heavy, you need accessories.
There are certain Jewellery that pair well with the Ankara outfit, certain types of shoes too as well as bags. Personally, I think beaded bags pair very well with the Ankara fabric.
